Megan's real estate quest
OK, I like real estate. We have bought three times and sold two times in the past 4 years. Just made an offer on a beautiful foreclosure in the south hills of Eugene. If any of you believe in The Secret, send some good vibes our way! Two years ago, the market was red hot, and the story is very different today. Lots of buying opportunities. John is scratching his head and is dreading the possible move. But it gives us a chance to clean out spice drawers and toy closets (As Leo says- simplifiy!) I'll let you know if our offer is accepted! Megan

Sure you don't want to buy a loft in downtown Chicago? Our neighbor is asking 999,000, but she has a penthouse.
Good for you Megan. I always said if I had extra money to invest I would invest it in Megan Murphy, Inc. I'd better come visit soon...I've never been in your current house.
Good luck with the house! We are also looking to buy a one-acre property in the next year or so (after we're sure the market is as low as it's going to go).
Very cool. We're pretty far from buying a house, as my goal is to buy on cash and not get into any more debt (I just recently became debt-free). Give me a few years. :)
Good luck with the house!
Our offer was accepted by the seller, and they are presenting it to the bank. Other offers can still come in. So it looks good, but not a done deal. Uhhhhhhh
You'll get it, no worries...
I'm wishing for it (the Secret)
That's all it takes, right?
Congrats.
Wonderful! We have seen your other Oregon houses, so we will have to plan a visit!
Robert and I are buying the adjoining 3/4 acre to our house in Santa Rita! After making an offer a year ago, the owner called and said you can have it! We are processing the paperwork now. This property drops down to the Namo River - just at the Namo Falls. So eventually we will have steps going down and maybe a picnic spot next to the "mosquito" river. I'll send pictures eventually.
We're all land barons!
It has been two weeks since our offer was presented and we still haven't heard. Should we start cleaning out or closets or not? Arrrgh
