Cool idea! I had thought about launching such a beast previously, but never quite got around to it. So, howdy to all.
Tonight there's a lunar eclipse, and I'm up on my building's roof with my Nikon D80 (and a really crappy tripod). Cloudless night, so hopefully will get a good shot or two. Main problem is that the temperature (on the weather LED display on the street below) is 12 degrees in Chicago. The roof is significantly colder, and windier, than the street level temperature. I had to duck inside just now to grab a little wine to fortify myself, or else. Don't even mention what the weather is in Guam, I might get perturbed.
Oh, if anyone wants to buy me a better tripod, I won't stop you. Ahem.

Oh, one other thing, for the more adventurous, you can also use third party software to compose your blog posts with. I am typing this in a program called ecto, which started out as a Mac program, but now includes Windows versions as well. Just a thought - I've been a long time user of ecto, makes blogging even easier.
Back to the deep freeze, ahoy.
